4-days sportive tour from Kratzeburg to Kanustation Mirow
Route / legs
- 1st day* (approx. 14 km + transport on land): Kratzeburg - lake Käbelicksee – lake Granziner See – lake Schulzensee - Granziner Mühle (debark and carry the boat to lake Pagelsee, approx 700 m, there is a special lorry for the transport of the boat) – lake Pagelsee – lake Zotzensee – lake Jäthensee – lake Jamelsee – campingsite
- 2nd day (approx. 23 km): lake Jamelsee – river Havel – lake Gortowsee – lake Zierzsee – lake Useriner See – sluice Zwenzow – lake Großer Labussee – lake Woblitzsee – sluice Wesenberg – lake Finowsee - lake Drewensee – campingsite
- 3rd day (approx. 18 km): lake Drewensee – lake Finowsee - Schwaanhavel - lake Plätinsee – Wustrow (debark and carry the boat approx 800 m; we have boat trailers there at the shop, which you can use for free) – lake Klenzsee – lake Gobenowsee – campingsite
- 4th day (approx. 21 km): lake Gobenowsee – Drosedower Bek – lake Rätzsee – Fleether Mühle (debark and carry the boat approx 50 m) – lake Vilzsee – lake Mössensee – lake Zotzensee – lake Mirower See – Kanustation Mirow.
* Transport on land from Kanustation Mirow to Kratzeburg (lake Käbelicksee): The Taxicorporation Hänsch (phone: 039832 – 20335) can transport up to 10 boats and 8 persons.
Cheaper alternatives are:
- transport of the boat/s by own car (on the roof). During the canoe tour the car stays in Kratzeburg. At the end of the tour you can go by bycicle to Kratzeburg (approx. 25 km) and get your car back. We rent bycicles at the Kanustation Mirow.
- You can rent a boat trailer at Kanustation Mirow: space for up to 8 3-person-canadiers or 8 tandem kayak tourer or 14 single kayak tourer. Requirement: your car has a hitch. The rent for the trailer is 26,- Euro. The trailer has to be returned to Kanustation at the same day.
Campingsites
Hints
This is the tour with the most beautiful parts of the Mecklenburg Lakes. And its the tour with the highest percentage of legs, that are not allowed or impossible for motorboats. However you have to paddle just these parts very fast to reach the campingsite in the evening.
Therefore:
A tour for paddlers, who like getting up early in the morning, to enjoy the beautiful nature despite the many kilometres and the debarkings (which take their time).
