Environmental tips for canoe drivers on the Mecklenburger Seenplatte

Don't go into the reed and not into waterlily fields!

These areas are homes and hatcheries of many species of bird as well as spawning grounds for fish. Therefore keep adequate distance!

Don't damage any plants and don’t pick either!

So others can enjoy it, too.

Do everything to avoid damage!

Disembark only in such places where no visible damage can be caused. And leave these places so as if nobody had ever been there.
Stay only on official camp sites!
Wild camping in the Mecklenburger Seenplatte is forbidden to protect the nature!

Calmness is more beautiful - avoid noise!

Thus you also can watch more animals.

Paddle slowly - avoid stress!

Paddle rather less kilometers but all the more intensive. So you see more.

Inform yourself about current rules before the journey starts!
